Meet Madeline Stuart, a 26-year-old Supermodel with Down Syndrome and Autism from Brisbane who is changing the industry one runway at a time. She is a powerful advocate for inclusivity and diversity, with the press calling her “the world’s most famous model with Down Syndrome”.

Her journey started by attending a Fashion Parade in 2015 with her mother and business manager, Rosanne, when she said “mum me model”. With those three simple words and the desire to get healthy and learn, Madeline quickly turned this dream into a reality. Through her talent and determination, Madeline has propelled herself into international fame. Her daily routine consists of disciplined meals, exercise and dance training, and preparing for press conferences and interviews. When in peak fashion season Madeline and Rosanne can work up to 12-hour days – lucky they love what they do!

The hard work has paid off, with Madeline's impressive portfolio including:

  • Modelling for the publications Vogue, Cosmopolitan and the New York Times
  • Modelling for New York, Paris and London Fashion Weeks and the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in China
  • Special appearances and fundraising efforts for Endeavour Foundation Australia and Special Olympics of New York

If that extensive list isn’t impressive enough, Madeline has also participated in the Special Olympic Games for ten pin bowling, cricket and basketball; has competed the Noosa Special Triathlon; oversees her Brisbane based dance school ‘‘Inside, Outside Dance Ensemble’ and still somehow found time to launch her Fashion Label called ‘21 Reasons Why’.

Madeline is redefining industry beauty standards, increasing diversity representation, and inspiring not only people with Down Syndrome to chase their goals, but to anyone. Rosanne Stuart, Madeline's mother is proudly her daughter's biggest fan, stating “she’s everything I could possibly have hoped for. I’m so proud and so blessed to have her”.
